NetIQ SecureLogin is getting a refresh this month. Organizations use SecureLogin to deliver a comprehensive single sign-on (SSO) experience to Windows desktop users. Although desktop SSO isn’t the core focus for IT that it was a decade ago, there are some situations where it’s invaluable:
- Kiosks: In some business environments, there are stations where employees use a common desktop, such as manufacturing and healthcare. In these environments, SecureLogin includes a variety of capabilities that enable fast and secure switching between users for all their native and browser-based applications.
- Virtualized Windows environments: As the world moves to mobile and web-based applications, there are still plenty of core business applications that remain on Windows platforms untouched. Organizations deliver access to these systems through a virtualized environment such as Citrix.
Key additions to SecureLogin v8.8 include:
- Access to all NetIQ Advanced Authentication methods. With this integration, when a method is added to Advanced Authentication, SecureLogin will have instant access to it.
New provision interfaces that enable organizations to integrate SecureLogin into their onboarding processes for new employees or for users changing roles within the organization. This addition enables SecureLogin to be included in IAM automation projects that are becoming more popular. Read more.
