NetIQ SecureLogin is getting a refresh this month. Organizations use SecureLogin to deliver a comprehensive single sign-on (SSO) experience to Windows desktop users. Although desktop SSO isn’t the core focus for IT that it was a decade ago, there are some situations where it’s invaluable:

• Kiosks: In some business environments, there are stations where employees use a common desktop, such as manufacturing and healthcare. In these environments, SecureLogin includes a variety of capabilities that enable fast and secure switching between users for all their native and browser-based applications.
• Virtualized Windows environments: As the world moves to mobile and web-based applications, there are still plenty of core business applications that remain on Windows platforms untouched. Organizations deliver access to these systems through a virtualized environment such as Citrix.

Key additions to SecureLogin v8.8 include:

• Access to all NetIQ Advanced Authentication methods. With this integration, when a method is added to Advanced Authentication, SecureLogin will have instant access to it.
