HP Software has been involved in financial management for
many years with financial capabilities in products like Asset Manager and
Project and Portfolio Management. In 2009 HP released a dedicated IT finance
toolset called Financial Planning and Analysis. In 2012 that toolset was
combined into the HP IT Executive Scorecard to provide a comprehensive
end-to-end performance and financial management solution. We’re often told that
IT is trying to be more transparent and make more business-like investment
decisions – the result is an increased focus on IT Financial Management (ITFM)
and IT Performance Management (ITPM).
