The technology industry is notorious for cooking up jargon. From
the trendy - SaaS, PaaS, and Iaas, to the unfathomable with 3G, 4G and 5G, to
the unpronounceable (phablets). HP’s Software Support teams have to absorb a
growing ‘alphabet soup’ of acronyms and technical jargon to help our customers
get full value from the broadest portfolio of IT Management software in the
market - the HP Software portfolio. Our teams need to know every acronym in the
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) yet also to speak Plain
English, or for that matter Chinese, Portuguese or German. Our engineers need
to be bilingual in techy and business.
