PRESENTERS:
Eric Plunk
started using Trend 3.6.1 as an administrator in 2001 at Allegiance
Telecom in Dallas, TX. He began using Performance Insight 4.0 and 4.5
after HP bought Trinagy (the developer of Trend 3.6.1). Eric joined
PerVigil in August 2004 and began consulting on Performance Insight
projects. (The co-founders of PerVigil came from Trinagy.) He also
taught HP’s Admin 1 & 2 classes for Performance Insight from 2005 to
2009. Eric joined Duke Energy in 2009, where he uses PI to deliver
meaningful server data to server administrators and application groups.
The
purpose of Eric’s demonstration is to show the capability of PI and how
it is being used at Duke Energy. Eric integrated PI with Reporter,
Operations Manager, Duke Energy’s Asset CMDB, and EMC StorageScope
database. The performance data comes from a customized version of the
System Resource report pack.

Finance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and hospitality domains. He is
currently working as a Sr Testing Tools Administrator at TIAA-CREF
